Red Power Ranger Costume On Display At CES

Every group needs a leader, and for the Power Rangers, that responsibility falls to the Red Ranger.

As such he's always remained one of the most popular Rangers throughout the years, and that should be no different for the upcoming film reboot. Press got a closer look at the more alien-like costumes at a Power Rangers VR event, and Jason Million posted a picture of the costume on his Twitter feed.

Compared to the original costume this version literally looks as if it's from outer space, a style that the studio is applying to the other iconic aspects like Zordon, Alpha 5, and the Battle Zords. Fans are still a bit split on the look of the iconic costumes, but curiosity seems to have overtaken any misgivings about the style. You can view the picture in the tweet below.

"Saban's Power Rangers follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove - and the world - is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it's too late, band together as the Power Rangers."

Power Rangers stars Bryan Cranston (Zordon), Elizabeth Banks (Rita Repulsa), Naomi Scott (Kimberly/Pink Ranger), David Denman (Sam Scott), Becky G. (Trini/Yellow Ranger), Sarah Grey (Amanda), RJ Cyler (Billy Cranston/Blue Ranger), Emily Maddison (Rebecca), Ludi Lin (Zack Taylor/Black Ranger), and Dacre Montgomery (Jason Lee Scott/Red Ranger).

Power Rangers is set to land in theaters on March 24, 2017.
