New Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Images Released

As Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set to hit theaters later this year, fans are growing more excited for the film than ever before. Thankfully, Lucasfilm seems keen on feeding those fans with teasers for the film through TV spots and promotional adverts. Now, it looks like a new set of still images from Rogue One have been released, and fans are already clamoring over the photos online.
The new photos are similar to those previously released as they showcase the cast of Rogue One. Characters like Jyn Erso and Imperial Director Orson Krennic can be seen in various images. The crisp photos also feature the film's sprawling landscape as some characters can be found tucked away in lush forestry. And, what's more, fans are also given a better look at the film's sci-fi setting upon an Imperial starship.

Then, you can see for yourself why the latest batch of images has fans hyped. Sadly, the photos do little to answer any of those fans' questions about the film. As Lucasfilm continues to provide new images from the film, more questions arise about Rogue One - and, naturally, most of those questions haven't been answered.
Earlier this summer, Lucasfilm dropped a set of Rogue One images onto the Internet, prompting long-time fans to scrutinize them. Lucas Seigel, ComicBook.com's own Star Wars expert, reviewed the photos and said the images begged several questions. For one, he wondered why the Death Troopers depicted in the image dump weren't included in Star Wars: Episodes IV-VI if they were so efficiently lethal. And, in their recent release, Lucasfilm has again highlighted those black-clad Stormtroopers in a photo that shows them walking along some strange terrain.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set between the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and shortly before the events of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. In the film, resistance fighters embark on a daring mission to steal the Empire's plans for the Death Star.
The film features talent such as Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk and Jonathan Aris. Gareth Edwards directed the film while Gary Whitta and Chris Weitz treated the script.
