Sideshow Reveals Boba Fett Premium Format Statue

04/02/2017 05:20 pm EDT

Sidsehow Collectibles has put its Boba Fett Premium Format Figure up for pre-order.

The figure is a expertly crafted representation of everyone's favorite bounty hunter form a galaxy far, far away as he appeared in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi.

Here's the official description:

"He's no good to me dead"

Taking inspiration from his memorable appearance in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Sideshow has created an all-new Premium Format Figure that pays homage to the mysterious man-hunter!

Standing atop a gritty and worn "Jabba's Palace" character base, Boba Fett is a cold, calculating, and confident Bounty Hunter in his prime.

Mixing highly-detailed sculpture with painstakingly tailored fabric elements, this museum-quality collectible has all the attention to detail and movie-accurate subtleties that our fans have come to expect from our Premium Format™ Figures

Outfitted in his battle worn Mandalorian armor and jetpack, and wielding his EE-3 Blaster Carbine, Boba Fett is not a man to be trifled with, striking fear into the hearts of even the most hardened galactic gangsters.

Every piece of Boba Fett's iconic outfit has been lovingly reproduced in jaw-dropping detail. From the blaster-scorched and dented panels of his breastplate to each individually braided "Wookiee scalp" trophy!

The Sideshow Exclusive variant features a swap-out hand with a concussion grenade launcher.

The Boba Fett figure is estimated to arrive in late 2017 or early 2018 and is priced at $549.99. Check out the preview photos in the gallery below.

Despite limited screen time, Boba Fett was a breakout star of the original Star Wars trilogy of movies, even spread between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. There was plenty written about Boba Fett in the old Star Wars Expanded Universe, but even in the modern cannon Boba Fett can be seen as a youth in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Ever since Disney purchased Star Wars and announced they would be pursuing standalone feature films based on individual characters from the Star Wars universe rumors have run wild about a Boba Fett movie being put into production. Boba Fett did not appear in Rogue One, but an appearance in the Han Solo movie could be possible. There's been no official word from Lucasfilm on the matter yet.
