The Walking Dead: Katelyn Nacon Discusses Enid's Big Scene With Carl
11/21/2016 12:00 pm EST
Spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 4 follow.
Sunday's episode of The Walking Dead saw a brief moment of levity between the two young guns of the series. Carl and Enid went on an adventure outside of the walls, heading to the Hilltop for their own reasons. Enid was seeking Maggie and a new home while Carl was on a quest for revenge against Negan.
Along the way, Carl and Enid shared a moment which many fans have been rooting for for several years now. The two teenagers of the apocalypse finally kissed.
Of course, the romance was short lived as Carl revealed his true motives for tagging along. Enid, however, won't hold it against him according to Katelyn Nacon. While appearing on ComicBook.com's live The Walking Dead recap show, After The Dead, Nacon offered the insider perspective of the scene.
"I think they both undestand that they need to do what they believe is right," Nacon said. "I don't think Enid is ever gonna stop him because she knows whatever she says probably won't."
As for actually performing the kiss, the set didn't really change at all. After all, Nacon has been trapped in a tree with Chandler Riggs before, anyway!
"[Those days on set are] pretty much about the same," Nacon said. "We really joke around a lot. We're really good friends. No matter what it's gonna be awkward, I think. Maybe that's just because of me. It's usually just like the rest but you just know, 'We have to kiss at the end of the day!'"
Of course, the shipping name is extremely important. Nacon has a preference.
"I've heard Carnid more," Nacon said. "Earl just reminds of Daryl's brother."
