The Walking Dead: First Talking Dead Guest Confirmed

There's only six - count 'em SIX - days until The Walking Dead returns. After a devastating first half of season seven, fans are ready to watch Rick and his family Rise Up and take the fight to Negan.

The Walking Dead returning also means that Chris Hardwick's Talking Dead will air a new episode immediately after. The host and his guests will break down the events of the episode, look at what's coming next, and answer a while slew of fan questions.

It was revealed today that executive producer Greg Nicotero would be a guest on the next episode of Talking Dead.

Nicotero is the man behind many of the great visual effects on the show, and he continues to direct some of the series' best episodes.

This is the first guest that has been confirmed for this week's episode of Talking Dead, and the show is likely to announce the others throughout the week. You can expect at least one cast member to join Nicotero on the set, but probably two.

The Walking Dead returns for the rest of its seventh season on February 12 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC. Fear the Walking Dead's third season does not yet have a premiere date but with The Walking Dead finale set for April 2, expectations for Fear's return are set for April 9.
