Captain Planet Will Return in New 'OK K.O.' Episode

The Cartoon Network series OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes will be giving '90s kids everywhere a big thrill when an upcoming episode brings back Captain Planet for a cameo!

Mashable broke the news and first-look photo of Captain Planet's OK K.O. appearance, which will happen in an episode airing on Monday, October 9th. The show will also bring back Captain Planet voice actor David Coburn, as well as Star Trek: TNG's LeVar Burton, who voiced the "Planeteer" memeber Kwame in the original animated series.

The storyline for the episode will see K.O. and co. trying to stop an evil polluter from trashing the the plaza, and will recruit Captain Planet to help them battle the threat. If this news stokes your nostalgia, the Cartoon Network app is not-so-coincidentally streaming the first season of Captain Planet, starting today!
