Cartoon Network teased the Powerpuff Girls were getting a new member, and now fans can get their first look a the newest hero of Townsville.

The character appears in a new sizzle reel of upcoming Cartoon Network shows, though her name is still not known. As the teaser image indicated, she does seem taller than Buttercup, Blossom, or Bubbles, and has much bigger hair. As you also might have noticed, she sports a darker skin tone and also rocks bright blue hair and a purple costume. It also remains to be seen what if any additional powers she will have.

You can see her at about the 1:41 minute mark in the video above.

Cartoon Network wasn't planning on revealing her until the first episode of their Powerpuff Girls 5 part movie "The Power of Four", but the reel made its way online much earlier. It might not be until the premiere though that fans find out her name and other character details, but fans will be happy to see some diversity amongst the group.

The Powerpuff Girls have been a three woman team since their inception, so introducing a new member is a big deal to the Powerpuff fandom. Powerpuff Girls stars Amanda Leighton (Blossom), Kristen Li (Bubbles), and Natalie Palamides (Buttercup), along with Tom Kenny as the Mayor and narrator. This series is a reboot of the 1996 original run, which ran for 78 episodes. Once the official reveal of their newest member is made, fans should also find out who is voicing the character.

"It has been wonderful to see this new show team bring such passion and positive creative spirit to this iconic property," said Cartoon Network Chief Content Officer, Rob Sorcher. "We know that fans of every age will appreciate this new take on saving the world before bedtime."

Powerpuff Girls: The Power of Four lands on September 17th, airing on Cartoon Network at 5:30 pm est.
