Preacher Season 2 Sneak Peeks Released

Get ready for a road trip to find the Almighty.

AMC has released the first clip from the second season of Preacher. The clip opens on "Day One" of the "The Search for God" and finds Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), Tulip O'Hare (Ruth Negga), and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) on the road. Jesse and Tulip discuss how exactly they're going to find God, while Cassidy distracts Jesse with disturbing anatomical facts.

AMC also released the "A Look Ahead" featurette for Preacher's second season, in which Cooper, Negga, Gilgun, executive producers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Sam Catlin and Garth Ennis discuss what has changed in the new season. Watch it below.

"Violence. Then comedy and drama, and...absurdity," says Catlin. "It's a pretty unique stew."

"Season two, we get, literally, on the road," says Ennis, who co-created and wrote the original Preacher comic book which began with characters on the road. "We get moving."

"You're on a chase and it's very funny," says Cooper, "and it doesn't take itself too seriously. And I think that that's the tone that they're now trying to find with more clarity."

"They're thrown together on this road trip and Tulip and Cassidy are just, they're so excited," says Negga. "It's like turning kicks They're going to the seaside. You know, they think it's gonna be fun, and ice cream, and sand castles, and splashing around, and it's the complete opposite of that."

Based on the popular cult comic book franchise of the same name, Preacher is an absurdly twisted and action packed thrill ride. When Jesse Custer, a small-town preacher with a criminal past, realizes God is absent from Heaven, Jesse sets out to find Him. Along for the ride are Tulip, Jesse's volatile true love, and Cassidy, an 119-year-old Irish vampire and Jesse's best mate. The gang ends up in New Orleans, where they must dodge local gangsters, dangerous secret agents in white suits, and the Saint of Killers, an unstoppable killer cowboy from Hell.

Developed by Sam Catlin, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen for AMC, Preacher stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, Ruth Negga as Tulip O'Hare, Joseph Gilgun as Cassidy, Ian Colletti as Eugene "Arseface" Root, Tom Brooke as Fiore, Graham McTavish as the Saint of Killers.

Preacher was created by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon.

Preacher returns to AMC for the two-night season two premiere June 25 at 10 p.m. ET and June 25 at 9 p.m. ET.
