You can tell when a movie studio is ready to ramp up the push for a film nowadays by the TV spots. TMNT 2 had 57 (fifty-seven!) of them, Cap: Civil War had 63 (sixty-three!), and the near-constant reworking of footage to sell tentpole action films every possible way typically starts about two months early.

Well, we're two months out from Suicide Squad, and in rapid succession we've had four TV spots released already. The newest one goes with the same "Worst Heroes Ever" theme and Queen soundtrack from the trailer that it pulls all its footage from. The spot includes looks at the newly named Eyes of the Adversary, those gooey soldier characters, Diablo unleashing his fire, Joker dipping Harley into a vat of chemicals, and Harley going... shopping in her unique way.

Suicide Squad is the next film in the growing DC Comics cinematic universe, bringing together a group of villains who are sent out to save the world on a mission that's more than likely going to end with at least a death or two. Many of the characters are typically Batman villains, like Killer Croc, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, and others, and the hero, played by Ben Affleck, will be making a cameo in the film, as well (though he's absent from this particular spot).

It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world's most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government's disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren't picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it's every man for himself?

Suicide Squad hits theaters August 5, 2016.
