X-Men Days Of Future Past Movie

As part of his publicity jaunt for Jack the Giant Slayer this week, director Bryan Singer has been fielding questions left and right about his forthcoming X-sequel, X-Men: Days of Future Past. He's been making a lot of generalizations and trying to avoid telling anyone anything too specific, which has the effect of maintaining the film's secrecy and also keeping him from being boxed in on a movie that's reportedly not finished being written yet--all while keeping the fans and press talking about it. Well, today he let a little something out that is likely to become part of the conversation about the time-travel epic from now until the first screenings of the film. "I'll be able to correct a few things," the filmmaker told HitFix when pressed as to whether the movie, which is rumored to serve as a bridge between the original trilogy Singer kicked off and Matthew Vaughn's fan-favorite X-Men: First Class, will "reset" the series going forward. He added, "This movie's gonna be not only quite epic, Days of Future Past, but it also takes place in completely different times than the X-Men movies have taken place...Certain characters and certain story and certain drama that hasn't be done yet, so it's not so much sequel. It's more of its own kinda thing." What characters might appear, who haven't yet? It's anybody's guess, but it seems likely one of them will be the villain played by Peter Dinklage, who was welcomed to the cast last night.
