DC Comics made a lot of noise when the publisher announced they'd be taking on Hanna Barbera's iconic franchises, including the much loved Flintstones.

Now writer Mark Russell (Prez) has his artist for the upcoming book, and it will be Steve Pugh, of Gen X and Saint of Killers fame. The series will launch with a 40-page extra-sized issue on July 6th, and will feature all of your favorite characters, including Fred, Wilma, Barney, Betty, Pebbles, Bamm-Bamm, and Mr. Slate. The first arc will follow Fred and Barney as they attempt to lure some Neanderthals into working for Mr.Slate, learning a few things about the big boss-man along the way.

You can see the launch variants in the gallery, drawn by Steve Pugh, Ivan Reis, Walt Simonson, and Dustin Nguyen.
