With the second season of the brutal anime currently streaming, the live-action adaptation planned to bring this action to life on the stage. Attack on Titan: Live Impact planned on bringing Attack on Titan to live theater, and fans were excited about the previews and posters. However, due to a tragic unforeseen event, the play's production has been canceled. News of the cancellation follows the death of a crew member during production.

According to NHK Japan, Kazutaka Yoshino was training with wire suspension devices reportedly used in the stage play. The 38-year-old acrobat was suspended in the air during a routine inspection before Yoshino fell. The crew member was rushed to the hospital from Tokyo Disney, but was shortly after pronounced dead.
