Naruto fans, a new era is about to dawn in Konoha. After years on air, Naruto Shippuden will soon come to a close as it reaches the end of Masashi Kishimoto's manga. Fans will finally learn what comes of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha following their final epic battle - but don't be disheartened! Naruto's time in the spotlight may be ending, but the series is far from done. In April, TV Tokyo will be bringing a brand-new Naruto anime to life thanks to Boruto. And, now, a slew of new character designs have been released for the series.

Boruto: Next Generations is slated to debut after Naruto Shippuden ends, and the spin-off will follow Konoha's new legion of ninjas. Thanks to the latest Weekly Shonen Jump issue, fans have gotten a new look at the anime's core cast. In the image, Boruto Uzumaki is featured front-and-center while his teammates Sarada Uchiha and Mitsuki are off to the side. Other characters are also shown, and the ninjas hail from Team Moegi. Shikadai Nara, Chocho Akimichi, and Inojin Yamanaka are shown decorating the top of a magazine spread.

Of course, fans have had a chance to meet these characters before thanks to a feature film. In 2015, Boruto: Naruto The Movie hit theaters and introduced audiences to the new generation of Konoha warriors. The canon film took place after the end of Kishimoto's manga and set up Boruto's dynamic team. Unlike his father, Boruto wants nothing to do with being Hokage and instead wishes to become a cool ninja like his Uncle Sasuke. When it comes to the Uchiha's daugther, Sarada has inherited Naruto's will of fire and wants to lead her village one day.

You can read the summary for Boruto: Naruto The Movie below:

"With Naruto as the Seventh Hokage, Hidden Leaf Village is planning to host the Chunin Exams to train new shinobi from the village and from their allied villages. Among the entrants are Sasuke's daughter, Sarada, Mitsuki, an exceptionally talented yet mysterious shinobi… And Boruto, Naruto's talented but impetuous son.
