When it comes to Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, anime fans get to see just how families tend to come full circle. The show debuted back in April, but the hugely popular anime has followed Boruto Uzumaki as the kid tries to distance himself from his father's impressive legacy. So, really, it's not too surprising to l the ninja totally roasted Naruto by mistake in a recent episode.

Right now, Boruto is in the middle of its first action-driven story arc, and it has seen Naruto's son awaken a new power. The boy has developed an ocular jutsu which no one can quite place, but that doesn't stop Naruto from questioning his son about the development. And, when the two get to talk about the sudden power, Naruto opens himself up to one hot roasting.

During Boruto's eighth episode, fans watched as the titular hero told Naruto he was now the owner of a new gift. "I awakened an awesome power!" Boruto says, leaving Naruto to look confused before his face takes on a very alarmed expression.

"Wait, Boruto!" Naruto calls, bending down to his son. "You didn't steal the Scroll of Sealing or something like that, did you?"

After a pause, Boruto answers: "The Scroll of Sealing? What's that?"

Shikamaru explains the scroll is a treasured artifact in Konoha that contains a lot of dangerous jutsu. When Boruto asks why it was even brought up, the strategist smiles awkwardly at Naruto.

"Well, there was someone like that in the past who wanted power quickly and stole the Scroll of Sealing," the man says, and Boruto goes off.

"That's horrible," the boy chastises. "Don't lump me with a guy like that!"

In front of Boruto, fans can see Naruto looking rather shocked by the outburst. Fans of the knuckle-headed ninja will known that the person whom Shikamaru mentioned was Naruto. The boy stole the Scroll of Sealing years ago after he failed his Ninja Academy Exam yet again. His instruction Mitsuki told the boy the scroll could give him the power to graduate, but fans eventually learned the Jounin only said that to trick Naruto into doing his dirty work for him.
