New Boruto Ending Previews Upcoming 'Naruto Gaiden' Arc

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations just wrapped its first full arc, but the folks behind the anime aren't taking a break just yet. The show is set to roll out a couple filler episodes before Boruto embarks on its second manga-centric storyline. And, now, fans can get their first-look at the 'Naruto Gaiden' arc through the show's new ending.

Boruto debuted its newest ending earlier today, and fans are already geeking out over the clip. The video, which can be seen above, is an artistic reel featuring the highlights of 'Naruto Gaiden.' The footage begins with Sarada looking sullen as she stands beside a faceless version of her mother Sakura Haruno. The clip then changes to Sarada as she reaches out towards her father Sasuke, but the Uchiha walks away before his daughter can grab him.

As the trailer continues, fans are given some major reveals which are about to come. Fans can see one shot where Sarada is looking at what appears to be a photograph with Sasuke's Team Taka imprinted on it. A parallel is drawn between the young girl and Karin, the team's chakra sensor.

If you are familiar with the 'Naruto Gaiden' manga, then you know how this story will end up. Sarada becomes a bit rebellious during her Academy days once she begins to question her birth. The girl can never remember meeting Sasuke, and Sarada feels increasingly distant from Sakura. When she discovers a photo of Karin wearing glasses, Sarada becomes convinced the woman is her true mother. Determined to find out the truth behind her origins, Sarada opts to sneak out of the village to locate her dad. But, when the girl becomes the target of a fanatic cult, Sarada discovers there is much more to her past than she ever imagined.
