Boruto: Naruto The Movie English Dub Trailer Released

Naruto fans, prepare to feel some serious nostalgia. A couple years back, Japan was introduced to a brand-new generation of ninjas thanks to Masashi Kishimoto. The creator of Naruto spearheaded a feature film which ushered the franchise into a new decade as heroes like Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke watched their children become warriors. Boruto: The Naruto Movie was a bonafide hit with fans, and Viz Media is now gearing up to bring the beloved film to a TV near you. In the coming months, the hyped anime movie will be coming to Blu-ray and DVD, and the studio has just released an English dubbed trailer to mark the occasion.

Over on Youtube, fans can watch the action-packed trailer and feel all of the feels while doing so. The footage kicks off with Boruto Uzumaki standing in the Hokage's Tower with his team. Paired with Mitsuki and Sarada Uchiha, the genin squad follows after the orders of their teacher Konohamaru, but Boruto tends to thinks he's above their status. And, of course, the boy's father is not one to stand for the elitist attitude. After all, Naruto didn't work so hard to become the Seventh Hokage for his eldest child to berate his comrades.

However, the trailer changes tone when a mysterious threat drops into Konoha. The Hokage notes he has a bad feeling about the strange pair, and his hunch is only solidified when fans learn about the villains connection with Kaguya.

Boruto: Naruto The Movie is will hit DVD and Blu-ray in March.

"With Naruto as the Seventh Hokage, Hidden Leaf Village is planning to host the Chunin Exams to train new shinobi from the village and from their allied villages. Among the entrants are Sasuke's daughter, Sarada, Mitsuki, an exceptionally talented yet mysterious shinobi… And Boruto, Naruto's talented but impetuous son.

Meanwhile, Sasuke who's been on a mission in another dimension appears before Naruto to warn of a strange impending danger. Shrouded with an evil aura, Momoshiki and Kinshiki appear and attempt to assassinate Naruto. Petrified, Boruto is shielded by Naruto, only to disappear in front of Boruto's own eyes."

Creator Masashi Kishimoto wrote the original story and designed characters for the film. He also served as chief production supervisor. Hiroyuki Yamashita, who directed episodes of Naruto Shippūden and Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie, directed the new film. Ukyō Kodachi co-wrote the script with Kishimoto.
