Dragon Ball Super: [SPOILER] Is About To Backstab Goku Big Time

Warning! Spoilers for Dragon Ball Super lie below!

Dragon Ball Super is revving up the pace of its 'Universal Survival' arc, and fans are gearing up for a bumpy ride. In the anime's latest episode, fans learned that Majin Buu had to exit the Tournament of Power after falling into a ritual sleep. It's up to Goku now to find a replacement for the pink alien, and his choice is a rather dangerous one. The Saiyan wants to revive Freeza to fight for Universe 7 in the Tournament of Power. And, of course, it wouldn't be right if the villain did not try to double-cross the hero during the event.

Recently, fans were teased about Freeza's impending arc in the Tournament of Power. The character's voice actor appeared at Animazement, and Ryūsei Nakao gave anime lovers a reason to pay close attention to Freeze once the battles begin.

According to Twitter user @ZeeHallums, the actor said he just finished recording "a Freeza and Frost convo" and that the pair are "apparently scheming together." A different fan @gravitypriest shared more of the actor's teasers.

"According to Nakao, Freeza and Frost are going to meet and form a scheme in Super," the fan wrote. "Nakoa said the thing about how Freeza is teaming up with U7 and the translator refused to translate cause it's a spoiler."

Other fans mentioned that Nakoa hinted at some "unusual alliances," prompting fans to wonder if Dragon Ball's universes would be paired up in the tournament as a last minute shake-up.

Of course, fans aren't too surprised to hear that Freeza and Frost will team up to give the Tournament (and Universe 7) hell. Freeza is one of Dragon Ball's most enduring villains as he's been around since Dragon Ball Z. Frost is a member of Freeza's race, and he used to reign over Universe 6 as a sorts of mirror to Freeza. The character became a fugitive when his space pirate origins became known to the public. Champa forced Frost to fight for Universe 6 in the Tournament of Power, but it looks like the ploy is about to backfire big time.
