Goku has a hefty legion of fans, but Vegeta's fanbase isn't one to laugh at. The Saiyan has an intensely loyal crew ready to defend his honor, and Dragon Ball Super just teased something those fans will hate to see.

After all, it isn't just Vegeta's place in the Tournament of Power that is at stake; It's his life.

This weekend, Dragon Ball fans were sent into a tizzy when new titles dropped in Japan. The names of Dragon Ball Super's new episodes may be provisional, but they pack a lot of weight. So, when fans saw that episode 112 was called "Vegeta's Resolve," panic ensued.

There's no synopses attached to the new titles, but fans are piecing together how the series is moving forward. When the anime returns next month, it will do so with a much-awaited battle. Goku will finally get to fight Jiren in a one-hour special, but the Saiyan may not come out victorious.

After Jiren battles Goku, Dragon Ball Super will usher in an episode titled "Jiren vs Hit." The name implies that Goku doesn't knock out Jiren from the Tournament, and fans fear the Saiyan failed to do so because of his new form. Goku will undergo a new transformation when the anime returns, but it make take a toll on the hero. Hit may step in to give Goku time to recover, but Vegeta may be the one who pays the ultimate price.

Right now, the Dragon Ball fandom is leaning towards two theories about Vegeta's so-called resolve. There are fans who think the fighter will brace himself to fight Jiren to give Goku time; Vegeta may hate to admit it, but Goku's new form will give him the best chance at beating Jiren. As such, Vegeta may sacrifice his place in the tournament to keep Jiren distracted, and the episode will end with him being disqualified.

However, there is a darker theory floating around which Vegeta fans would hate. Depending on how Goku fare in his battle with Jiren, the universes may band together to find a way to eliminate the untouchable Pride Trooper. One of the event's rules states that killing is against the rules and that anyone who does so will be eliminated. Vegeta may face Jiren in a bid to distract him, but the Saiyan may ultimately power-down in time to take a fatal blow. Vegeta would die from Jiren's attack, but his death would force the Omni-Kings to disqualify the Universe 11 fighter.
