New Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side Of Dimensions Preview Is The Most Dangerous Yet

In just a few weeks, fans of Yu-Gi-Oh! will get to see the series return to its roots thanks to its latest movie. Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions will make its U.S. debut during a limited theatrical run, and fans are eager to see its English dub. Today, a brand-new clip of the film was released that features a never-before-seen preview, and it makes Yu-Gi-Oh! look more dangerous than ever.

The clip comes courtesy of Crunchyroll and kicks off with footage previously released by 4K Media. The first footage shows Yugi walking alongside his friends Tea and Joey after the latter recovers his Duel Disk. Looking down, Yugi confesses to his friends that he misses Atem as the Pharoah is no longer attached to the boy.

"Yug, it's okay. You guys shared a connection. It totally makes sense that you miss him sometimes," Joey says.

However, it seems like Yugi's loss goes deeper than just shallow sadness. "It's just that things ended so suddenly between us," Yugi reminisces. "You left me forever. I know it was for the best, but I wish I just had one more to chance to let him know what he meant to me."

However, it is the following clip that is getting attention from fans. The short video shows a massive crowd gathering at an arena operated by Kaiba Corporation. The powerful gaming company seems to be holding an exhibit on new Duel Monsters tech, but things go sour when an overhead jet malfunctions. The pilot can be seen hurdling towards the packed open-topped arena, but they are stopped when a Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon obliterates them with a powerful energy blast.

According to the clip's description, the encounter will have to do with Kaiba showing off new holographic technology for Duel Monsters, but fans are getting hyped after seeing the anime feature's unflinching violence.

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side Of Dimensions will screen in U.S. theaters on January 27, 2017. In Spring 2017, a new Yu-Gi-Oh! anime is also set to hit televisions thanks to TV Tokyo. The new series will follow a hero named Yūsaku Fujiki as he enters the dangerous world of Duel Monsters.
