Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side Of Dimension Clip Teases Joey And Kaiba Confrontation

In just a couple of weeks, Yu-Gi-Oh! will be making its long-awaited return to U.S. fans. The classic anime is bringing back characters like Yugi Mutou after the wildly popular Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters show ended. The spiky haired kid finds himself bereft of the spirit Yami that inhabited his body for so long, but his loneliness is abetted by his childhood friends Tea and Joey.

Now, a brand-new clip of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side Of Dimensions have been released, and it shows the latter friend in a rather troubling situation. The high-flying hero is finds himself stranded atop a blimp, and Joey finds that his only company up there is none other than Kaiba.

So, clearly, the encounter isn't going to end well.

The footage starts with Joey waking up on the top of a Kaiba Corporation blimp. "Did I oversleep? Eh, this is not my pillow!" he yells, looking frantically around. However, Joey's fear is tempered when he realizes that Kaiba is up there with him.

"Kaiba, you're not my pillow either. Hey, that there on your arm! Is that the new Duel Disk?" he asks, noticing the hi-tech accessory clamped onto Kaiba's wrist.

Naturally, Kaiba is ready to gloat about the coveted item. "Yes, it is, but you can't have it. You're not worthy!"

"I am so! I am so worthy!" Joey yells even as he begins to fall off the blimp. But, before the poor boy can be saved, the clip fades to black and leaves fans guesses what happens to the loud-mouthed boy.

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side Of Dimensions will screen in U.S. theaters on January 27, 2017. In Spring 2017, a new Yu-Gi-Oh! anime is also set to hit televisions thanks to TV Tokyo. The new series will follow a hero named Yūsaku Fujiki as he enters the dangerous world of Duel Monsters.
