Warner Bros. Animation is bringing a new generation of fans to the DC Universe with it's upcoming Justice League Action, and you can't have a new animated series without some toys.

Now fans have a closer look at what's going to be on store shelves (via Superman Homepage). The line will feature 2-inch figures that have interchangeable pieces, which you can attach to the other figures in the line as well. The first wave will feature Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Blue Beetle, Firestorm, a Batman variant, The Flash, Green Arrow, Lex Luthor, and The Joker.

Mattel is also releasing special 3-pack assortments, and each one will contain a buildable piece to complete a Darkseid figure. There will be three of these sets, and they will consist of Lobo, Hawkman, and Superman for the first, Firestorm, Mr. Freeze, and Batman for the second, and Mongul, Wonder Woman, and The Flash for the third.

In fact, this looks to be the first shot of Mongul in any form as part of the animated series, and in the 2-inch individual figures there is a Superman that could very well be Cyborg Superman, going by his translucent blue paint job.

In addition to the regular figures, there will also be a Battle Wing Batman, which includes 15 sounds and phrases and pop-out wings. A Batman Transforming Batcycle will also be part of the line, which goes from Bat-cylce to a Batmech and includes a Mighty Mini Atom figure. There will also be Batman and The Flash masks, which seem to come with included communicators.

You can view the new toy assortments in the gallery.

Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman lead the DC Comics Super Heroes against their most infamous foes in adventures packed with relentless thrills, fun and action. No need to wait for the good stuff to start, each eleven-minute episode jumps in with lightning-paced action and heroics. Whether defending the Earth, facing invaders from space, or battling the bizarre forces of magic, the always-rotating team of Justice League heroes, are up to any challenge.

The voice-cast features Kevin Conroy as Batman, Mark Hamill as the Joker, James Woods as Lex Luthor, Diedrich Bader as Booster Gold, Sean Astin as Shazam, Rachel Kimsey as Wonder Woman, Jason J. Lewis as Superman, Chris Diamantopoulos as Green Arrow, and Josh Keaton as Green Lantern.

Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!) will serve as executive producer with Butch Lukic (Justice League, Batman Beyond), Alan Burnett (Batman: The Animated Series) and Jim Krieg (Green Lantern: The Animated Series) serving as producers.

Beginning December 24, Justice League Action moves to Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. ET/PT.
