Injustice 2: Sub-Zero Now Available, Starfire Coming Soon

Sub-Zero is finally blasting his way onto the Injustice 2 roster. It's July 11, and that means that anyone who purchased the Deluxe or Ultimate edition of Injustice 2, or else purchased the first Fighter Pack, will find Sub-Zero in the roster and ready to roll. This versatile fighter from the Mortal Kombat universe is the first cross-over character to come to Injustice 2, and you can check out his reveal trailer above.

A recent NetherRealm Studios Injustice 2 Watchtower Stream gave us our first in-depth look at Sub-Zero as a fighter, and confirmed what we suspected after seeing his reveal trailer. This is a diverse and deadly fighter at close range, and while he doesn't have a huge arsenal of zoning techniques, he does have quite a few defensive and counter abilities that will allow him to safely tango with those who want to stay in the long-to-mid range, but he really shines going toe-to-toe.

If you purchased the first Fighter Pack, then Sub-Zero will be the the second and penultimate character available to you through that package. Red Hood is already available to play, and Starfire has yet to be released. If you purchased the Ultimate Version of Injustice 2, then you'll have access to all three Fighter Packs, giving you nine DLC characters before it's all said and done.

Today is exciting because we finally get to play as Sub-Zero, of course, but it's also exciting because now we get to wait for that surprise Starfire reveal trailer. We haven't seen any Starfire gameplay footage at all outside of the original reveal trailer (which doesn't show us much at all), and Ed Boon has been teasing a big Starfire surprise for some time now. Who knows, it could even drop this week! As soon as we learn more, we'll update you right away.
