Another volley was fired in the social media battle between Star Trek's first and latest captains, but that war now seems to have come to an end.

As reported previously, Star Trek: The Original Series star William Shatner blocked Jason Isaacs, who plays Captain Gabriel Lorca on Star Trek: Discovery, on Twitter. Isaacs responded with his own mocking tweet announcing that he'd been blocked by Shatner.

Shatner followed up with a Tweet on Saturday that did not directly acknowledge that he'd blocked the Discovery star, but took a swipe at the actor all the same. In response to a fan asking if Shatner would be turning o the lights in English town of Frodsham, Shatner replied, "No but I'd suggest Jason Isaacs: he can pop around after the Tesco's opening ribbon cutting ceremony."

However, on Tuesday, Shatner announced that he had unblocked Isaacs, who he referred to as "He who must not be named's bff" in reference ot Isaac's role as the Death Eater Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies.

Isaacs accepted the unblocking with a tweet of his own that took a shot at a more frequent of Isaac's targets, tweeting, "To be unblocked by @WilliamShatner I had to marry off a ginger royal, fire an intercontinental missile at Japan and get Trump not to insult heroic Native American code-talkers in front of an offensive painting of their worst enemy (that he put there). #TwoOutOfThreesNotBad"

Speculation has been Shatner blocked Isaacs in response to Isaacs saying that he wouldn't want Shatner to make a cameo appearance on Star Trek: Discovery, though Shatner has neither confirmed nor denied that theory.

Star Trek: Discovery returns to CBS All Access on January 7, 2018.
