Gotham Episode 5: Viper Synopsis Released

Fox has released the synopsis for the fifth episode of Gotham, titled "Viper."

"Viper" involves Gordon and Bullock investigating a new drug that causes ecstasy and then death. We may be connecting too many dots here, but that sounds vaguely like something that could eventually be engineered into the Joker's trademark poison.

A NEW STREET DRUG STORMS THE STREETS OF GOTHAM ON AN ALL-NEW "GOTHAM" MONDAY, OCTOBER 20, ON FOX

    Gordon and Bullock search for the source of a new street drug that causes euphoria then death. Meanwhile, Oswald Cobblepot works his way deeper into Maroni's (guest-star David Zayas) inner circle and Fish Mooney continues to plot against Falcone in the all-new "Viper" episode of GOTHAM airing Monday, Oct. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
