According to Heroic Hollywood, Tommy Flanagan has landed a role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

The 50 year-old Scottish actor -- best known for his roles in Gladiator, Braveheart, and Sons of Anarchy -- will play a member of The Ravagers, the interstellar group of thieves led by Yondu Udonta (Michael Rooker). In fact, he'll be Yondu's right hand man.

"Sources also tell me that in the sequel, The Ravagers have a bounty out on Rocket Raccoon which causes conflict within the group," reports Heroic Hollywood.

Set to the all-new sonic backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team's adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill's true parentage.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is written and directed by James Gunn. The film marks the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana as Gamora; Dave Bautista as Drax; Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker as Yondu; Karen Gillan as Nebula; and Sean Gunn as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan and Kurt Russell.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
