Fan Made Avengers VS. X-Men Trailer Makes Us Wish This Were Real

An Avengers vs. X-Men movie would take all sorts of stars aligning to come to fruition. 20th Century Fox and Marvel Studios would have to reach a history deal which would allow the different characters of mutants and Avengers to share the screen and it will almost certainly never happen. But we can still fantasize about it.

A new fan-made trailer by YouTube user Alex Luthor is about as close as we're going to get. Luckily, it's a really damn good fan-made trailer and shows us a glimpse of what an Avengers vs. X-Men movie could look like.

In 2012, Marvel Comics published a 12 issue arc under the title Avengers vs. X-Men. The story line never quite landed as well as Marvel would have hoped with its readers but the battles between mutants and Avengers made it all worth while. Magneto's realization that Iron Man changed the make up of his suit as to not be controlled by his powers was one of the many great moments in the super hero duels.

For now that, the only Avengers vs. X-Men showdowns we will see are at the box office. Captain America: Civil War is now playing in theaters and X-Men: Apocalypse is set to open next week.
