Sausage Party Clip: Entering Eternity

In this new Sausage Party clip, after the groceries are taken to a human's home, the chosen-food quickly realizes that they are not headed to the promised land. But in fact, many of them will be sliced, diced, peeled, and cooked before eventually being consumed.

I'm most curious about how this film will conclude. I mean, there can't really be a happy ending for food. Humans aren't going to stop consuming food, so food is going have to accept its fate. Aside from the non-perishables, most of the food items will begin to rot away anyway. So, is it better to be a human's meal, providing life, or decaying without a purpose?

Sausage Party, the first R-rated CG animated movie, is about one sausage leading a group of supermarket products on a quest to discover the truth about their existence and what really happens when they become chosen to leave the grocery store.

The film features the vocal talents of a who's who of today's comedy stars – Seth Rogen (Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising), Kristen Wiig (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty), Jonah Hill (The Wolf of Wall Street), Bill Hader (Saturday Night Live), Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), James Franco (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down), Craig Robinson (Zack and Miri Make a Porno), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War), Nick Kroll (The League), David Krumholtz (Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay), Edward Norton (The Incredible Hulk), and Salma Hayek (From Dusk till Dawn).

The film is directed By Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan. The story was written By Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Jonah Hill. The screenplay was penned by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Kyle Hunter, and Ariel Shaffir. It was produced by Megan Ellison, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Conrad Vernon. Jonah Hill, James Weaver, Ariel Shaffir, and Kyle Hunter served as executive producers.

Sausage Party hits theaters on August 12th.
