While Lucasfilm has already officially announced that Star Wars Episode 7 will film in England, new reports are suggesting that at least some filming will be done in Ireland. According to Sunday World, their insiders are telling them that Star Wars Episode 7 director J.J. Abrams is keen to film in Ireland. The report even quotes the chief executive of the Irish Film Board as stating that they have been talking to J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot about filming a number of projects in Ireland. Of course, J.J. Abrams is tied to a number of movies, so that statement leaves it kind of indefinite as to whether Star Wars Episode 7 is one of the projects. In addition to being the director on Star Wars Episode 7, J.J. Abrams is also a producer on Mission: Impossible 5. Tom Cruise recently visited Dublin, and it's also been reported that he is interested in doing some more filming in Ireland.
