Neil Gaiman Licks His New Book

No, that's not a typo in the headline. We didn't mean to say that Neil Gaiman likes his new book, even though that very well is likely true. At a recent book event in London to promote The Ocean At The End Of The Lane, photographer Heri Mkocha actually captured video footage of Neil Gaiman licking his new book. Mkocha wasn't sure why Gaiman decided to give The Ocean At The End Of The Lane a tongue bath, but it looks like Gaiman gave the book two good lickings. Based on how Gaiman seems to be ducking behind the book at the end of the video, we're envisioning a fan telling Gaiman that he liked his new book, and Gaiman misunderstanding and thinking he was being asked to lick the book. Or maybe Gaiman is starting a new trend at book signings and just passing on some DNA to lucky fans by licking his books rather than signing them.
