Bryan Cranston Lex Luthor

Everybody seems to have a Batman Vs. Superman rumor lately. One rumor that just won't seem to go away is that Bryan Cranston will be playing Lex Luthor. While several months ago a lot of sites were reporting it as fact that Cranston had been cast, the report was labeled as false after no official announcement ever came from Warner Bros. However, the Bryan Cranston rumors resurfaced when AMC Movie News Editor-In-Chief John Campea recently tweeted, "NOT A SCOOP – for what it's worth I've now heard from 2 sources who Lex Luthor will be played by in Batman vs Superman. Take this with a giant grain of salt because I've never heard news from either of these sources before and I'm not sure I buy it…. But… What I've been told by both sources is that although it wasn't true before when it was rumored a few months ago… Is that it's not Phoenix, but Bryan Cranston. Again, not sure I buy it, but 2 sources claim Cranston is Lex Luthor. 2 untested sources…" Now, another site is claiming that Bryan Cranston has been cast as Lex Luthor, and they are using much stronger wording than Campea used. According to an Amasian News video, "We have...we would like to say confirmed news. We can't say our sources, but this is huge that Bryan Cranston is going to be playing Lex Luthor in the future Batman Vs. Superman movie. This is happening and apparently he is getting big bucks to be Lex Luthor." It should be noted that John Campea's wife Ann is part of the Amasian News team, so the source could likely be the same one that Campea described as untested. Could it be true this time? While we're going to still label it as rumor, we wouldn't be surprised if it is true. When rumors initially surfaced of Cranston being cast as Lex Luthor, fan response was extremely positive. It wouldn't be surprising if Warner Bros. took note of that response and worked to get a deal done. In addition to claiming Bryan Cranston has been cast as Lex Luthor, Amasian News also offered up some scoop on Batman's new costume. According to Kaori on Amasian News, "My sources revealed to me what type of Batman is going to be in this movie. Ben Affleck is actually going to be the Alex Ross version of Batman, so that's the more gray version." Batman Vs. Superman is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on July 17, 2015.
