The Flash: Overprotective Dad Interview Released

The CW has released a new interview video with Candice Patton, who plays Iris West in The Flash.

In the interview, Patton talk's about her character's father, Detective Joe West, played by Jesse. L. Martin.

"He's very overprotective," says Patton. "I guess, being the daughter of a detective, that kind of comes with the territory."

"She probably would have been a detective if he hadn't, like, meddled and said, 'No way, I'm not letting my daughter be in the line of work that I'm in, it's too dangerous," Patton continues. "So, I think she's used to it, but I think it can get frustrating."

The Flash will premiere October 7 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
