While the cast of Star Wars Episode VII might be sitting out this year's San Diego Comic-Con International, they are still making news. In a new interview with the BBC, Mark Hamill pointed out what he called his "contractually-obligated beard."

Hamill also talked about what it was like returning to the Luke Skywalker role.

"It was certainly unexpected," said Hamill. "We had a beginning, a middle, and an end. I never thought we'd come back. I still can't believe it's happening. You go on to those sets that evoke so many memories, it's just astonishing."

In regards to Harrison Ford's accident, Hamill said, "I was not on set. It sounded terrible, but I hear he's doing really well. It'll take more than that to stop Harrison Ford."

Hamill, who is a regular Comic-Con attendee, also had something to say about missing this year's Comic-Con. Hamill explained, "I'm a comic book nerd myself, so I miss all you guys. Hopefully, I'll be back next year."

Star Wars Episode VII is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on December 18, 2015.
