The universal champion matchup between current champ Kevin Owens and the freight train that is Goldberg has produced some entertaining results thus far, but none of those have been in the ring.

The real fight is occurring on Twitter, where Goldberg continues to challenge Owens in back and forth barbs. Owens has developed a reputation for being ruthless on Twitter, and he's representing that reputation well in his banter with Goldberg (via Give Me Sport).

Goldberg poked the bear yet again on Twitter when he posted "Approximately 9 days, 5 hours and 4 minutes until @FightOwensFight loses his Universal Championship. #WWEFastlane #OwensIsNEXT."

Owens decided to aim squarely for Goldberg's part-time status, replying "Good luck with that, man! Sorry I only just saw this now but I was busy wrestling at a live event in Germany like true @WWE Superstars do.☺️."

Owens landed a nice jab, but Goldberg wasn't done quite yet. Goldberg responded by saying "Been there and done that champ RT @FightOwensFight: Good luck with that, man! Sorry I only just saw this now ... "

Not bad, but Owens dropped the mic by saying "Career mode in 2K17 doesn't count, Bill. "
