Following Sunday's new episode of The Walking Dead, AMC has released a new batch of behind-the-scenes photos.
The episode was titled, "Say Yes." In Say Yes, Rick and Michonne ventured the outskirts of Alexandria Safe-Zone in search of guns to deliver to Jadis and her junkyard gang. Of course, the over 10 million people who tuned into the show on Sunday night saw that the apocalyptic power couple participating in some extra curricular relationship activities as they were finally provided some time alone without Carl, Rostia, or others bothering them about what to do next.
The new photos, compiled into the gallery below, showcase Rick and Michonne's Sixteen Candles-themed date night and every other moment they shared. Some of those moments included slicing zombies at what was once a carnival, Michonne thinking Rick dead, and a loving hug after realizing how important their survival is to one another.

Say Yes was directed by The Walking Dead executive producer Greg Nicotero. Following the episode, Nicotero joined ComicBook.com's live After the Dead show to discuss the episode and shared a bit of perspective regarding Rick and Michonne's relationship.
"It was really a great episode to direct," Nicotero said. "For me, letting Danai [Gurira] and Andy [Lincoln] have fun with it. One of my favorite scenes in the episode is when they're behind the dumpster, right before they lay siege to the Walkers in the carnival area. It's funny that they're figuring out the plan and Rick's like, "I'm going to take the car, I'm going to move it into the gap, and you take care of those eight. And she's like, "You're going to leave me with eight?" And he's like, 'Yeah, I'm going to be, because we don't want to be caught. You got this. You can handle eight.' And the look she gives him, it's really fun and we played a lot with the tone in this episode. I think that we found the right balance, because it's really critical to make sure that the chemistry and the connection between the two of them is well served in the episode."
Sunday's Say Yes episode earned a 4.7 rating in the key 18-49 demographic with 10.16 million total viewers.
It was not only the lowest-rated episode of Season 7, so far, but the lowest since Season 3's sixth episode, Hounded, which followed Andrea's adventures with the Governor in Woodbury. In 2012, it earned 9.21 million viewers, which was the last time The Walking Dead had a total viewer number less than 10 million.
