Former Fear the Walking Dead star Mercedes Mason has welcomed her baby to the world.

Mason, who gave birth to a son on Wednesday, took to Instagram to share the first adorable photo of the baby on Thursday. "Welcome to the world Caius Kane, born 01/10/2018," Mason wrote. "Your daddy and I love you more than we could ever express. I didn't know what love was till I saw your face." She and husband Daniel Denman announced the pregnancy in August.

Check out the adorable photo of Caius grabbing Mason's hand in the photo below.

Mason played Ofelia Salazar on Fear the Walking Dead through its first three seasons. Late in Season Three, just as Ofelia appeared to be coming out of her shell and on course for a reunion with her father Daniel (Ruben Blades), the zombie apocalypse got the best of her.

"I kept imagining [Ofelia] and Daniel had this fighting duo," Mason told ComicBook.com. "You imagine the strength there, so it would have been really cool, but there was also a lot of beauty in just the way she passed, though. She didn't turn. There was some symbolism in the fact that he had to put her out, even though that's the one thing she asked them not to let him do. He sort of had to pay for his sins, and that's how he used it."

Mason is also well known for work on several other TV series. Outside of Fear the Walking Dead, Mason starred on titles such as NCIS: Los Angeles, 666 Park Avenue, and Chuck.

The Walking Dead returns for the second half of its eighth season on February 25, 2018. Fear the Walking Dead will debut its fourth season after The Walking Dead concludes its eighth. For complete coverage and insider info all year long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter.
