Wonder Woman converted millions of fans superhero believers this summer when it debuted. The solo film helped lead conversations about DC Films' latest projects into a positive light, and Ben Affleck just admitted he's very grateful for the shift. After all, the Batman star said the success of Wonder Woman took some of the burden of Justice League.

Recently, Empire Magazine (via Screen Rant) had a chance to speak with Affleck and the cast of Justice League about the film. It was there the star said Wonder Woman helped take pressure off of DC's next film.

"It maybe takes a bit of pressure off of this movie in terms of needing to define the DC Universe," Affleck said. "It doesn't feel like the whole world is riding on our shoulders so much."

Affleck isn't wrong to thank Wonder Woman for its much-needed support. Justice League has the eyes of the world on it thanks to its massive scale and heroic cast. The adaptation has been scrutinized intensely ahead of its November premiere, and fans are ready to compare its success to Marvel's The Avengers. DC Films hasn't had a string of critically acclaimed hits to back Justice League up, but Wonder Woman made fans think things would go okay.

After all, Wonder Woman managed to steal the hearts of both fans and critics. The most raked in over $800 million worldwide and broke all sorts of box-office records along the way. The film has a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and fans left the movie excited to see Diana Prince return in Justice League. The film's success helped the next movie shed its make-or-break responsibilities towards the DC Cinematic Universe. So, here's to hoping the blockbuster thrives now that it has less weight on its shoulders.
