When it comes to comic book entertainment, it seems like no one had quite as good of a year as Marvel did. The pop culture juggernaut charged into 2016 with a slew of film, television, video games, and comic book projects - and it looks like the litany of titles paid off. Over on Twitter, Marvel released a video which glossed over its biggest moments of 2016, and there were plenty to talk about.

Kicking things off, Marvel gave nod to the past year's comic book titles. Of course, Civil War II took readers by storm as it acted as sort-of follow up to the original 2006 Civil War story. This time, Iron Man found himself pitted against Carol Danvers, and the miniseries ended with the death of two major characters.
As for Marvel's animation pursuits, the company had success on all ends. They debuted Hulk: Where Monsters Dwell and a series of animated Funko shorts. Animation was also key in brining some of the company's video games to life like LEGO Marvel Avengers, Avengers Academy, and Marvel Tsum-Tsum.
Marvel Television can't be overlooked when it comes to successes. The company's partnership with Netflix ushered in a second season of Daredevil and the premiere of Luke Cage. And, on cable programming, Agents of SHIELD returned for another season that featured HIVE and Ghost Rider.
When it comes to movies, there may have been fewer updates, but the features made up for the slight in quality. Both Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange debuted this year and smashed box-office expectations. The former stands as one of this year's most lucrative films while Doctor Strange was said to have told an origin story like that seen in Iron Man.
Next year, there will be plenty to look forward to from Marvel Entertainment. The company is set release films like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming to the delight of millions.
