In its 7th week of release, Disney/Pixar's Inside Out has surpassed the $600 benchmark, making it the 7th Pixar-produced film to accomplish the feat.

Inside Out now has a global box office total of $602.3M — $329.6M domestically and $272.7 internationally. That figure will get a sizable bump when the film debuts Italy (September 16), Germany (October 1) and China (tentatively October 8).

Inside Out's domestic total ranks third-best among all Pixar films and more importantly, seventh-best all-time for an animated feature in North America. Its global total puts it seventh among Pixar films, within striking-distance of 2007's Ratatouille ($623.7) and 2004's The Incredibles ($631.4M).

This is all great news, but I would like to point out that Inside Out won't end up being the number one animated film of the year. As of right now, Minions is cleaning up at the worldwide box office with $854.7M, despite only having a 54% Rotten Tomatoes' score as compared to Inside Out's 98% fresh rating.

Riley (Kaitlyn Dias) is a happy, hockey-loving 11-year-old Midwestern girl, but her world turns upside-down when she and her parents move to San Francisco. Riley's emotions -- led by Joy (Amy Poehler) -- try to guide her through this difficult, life-changing event. However, the stress of the move brings Sadness (Phyllis Smith) to the forefront. When Joy and Sadness are inadvertently swept into the far reaches of Riley's mind, the only emotions left in Headquarters are Anger, Fear and Disgust.
