Happy Birthday! Stephen King Turns 68 Today

Happy birthday to Stephen King, who is celebrating his 68th today!

King is one of the most acclaimed authors of all time. His resume features some of the most prolific titles of all-time, including Carrie, The Shining, Misery, and The Dark Tower series. Several of his novels have gone on to be adapted to the big screen. His movie credits include The Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption.

Prior to becoming the incredible writer he is known for being, King spent his childhood reading horror novels, comic books, and enjoying horror films. In 1970, he graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor's degree in English.
