Guardians Of The Galaxy Cast Announcement Coming Very Soon

With production starting on Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2, Marvel Studios will soon announce the film's full cast, presumably sorting out some rumors and giving at least a small hint as to the film's direction.

How soon?

Well, according to the film's director, James Gunn, "Next week I believe. Or at least most of them."

That's what he told a fan asking the question on Facebook, in the same thread where he (yet again) promised no Thanos for the sequel.

James Gunn (Slither, Super), co-writer and director of 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy, will return to write and direct the sequel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. It is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2017. The cast of the first film -- minus Benicio del Toro and Lee Pace -- will return for the film, which will also introduce Pom Klementieff in an as-yet-unconfirmed role.
