Tonight's episode of Arrow sees the team dealing with the loss of Black Canary -- but it sounds like things are going to get worse before they get better in the battle against H.I.V.E.

Promising a large-scale showdown akin to Season Two's Deathstroke battle, with part of Vancouver that had to be shut down to accommodate it, executive producer Wendy Mericle teased more violence to come.

"It's a pretty grim one, I'm sad to say. We have a huge number of potential fatalities," Mericle told TVLine. "And you'll definitely get a hint about where the team is headed for Season 5."

Arrow airs on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
