Riepl is an award-winning composer writing for multiple entertainment genres. His orchestral score for Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment's animated movie BATMAN UNLIMITED: MONSTER MAYHEM was recently nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Music at the 2016 Annie Awards. His engaging and atmospheric scores have also enhanced video game franchises such as Gears of War, City of Villains (based on the super hero comic book genre),Toy Soldiers and Crackdown; animated television shows Invader Zim and Johnny Test; as well as over twenty films, including Cabin Fever and Silent Night. His upcoming projects include Warner Bros. animated movie Batman Unlimited: Mechs Vs. Monsters; Eric England's black comedy-thriller Get the Girl; and Battleborn, the new first-person shooter from the creators of Borderlands.

"Writing for these Batman animated features has been an enormous amount of fun. Given the opportunity to write for iconic characters such as Batman, The Joker, The Penguin and other classic DC Comics Super Heroes and Super-Villains was met with elated excitement," Riepl said. "I was able to start with a fresh palette for these characters and apply my own take on who they were musically by creating new themes and motifs. Working with the director, Butch Lukic, was an extremely enjoyable process. We definitely saw eye-to-eye on what type of music the films needed, which was one part traditional orchestral, one part modern electronic elements and beats, and one part all-out fun. We wanted to steer away from the seriousness and darkness of previous Batman storylines and keep it light, engaging and exciting."
