An eagle-eyed viewer spotted some recycled footage in Deadpool which was originally used in 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand.

During the scene in Deadpool when Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Colossus start their pursuit of Deadpool, they use the jet to start their journey. As the jet rises up from Xavier's mansion, the camera pans to the sky and follows it out. This shot, however, was originally made for The Last Stand and is identical in every way except one: the jet itself.

This is not the first time a studio has re-used footage from prior movies to cut costs and create shots. In 2011, Michael Bay's Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon used footage from The Island, one of Bay's older films, in a pair of car chase scenes. The only difference was in Transformers, the villainous autobots were added in destroying cars in place of the other objects and debris.

Deadpool exceeded all expectations at the box office when it opened. The film was made with a much smaller than usual budget for a super hero film (it even acknowledged the fact with a joke in the film) but managed to break records for R-rated movies. More specifically, the merc pulled in over $130 million in his first three days on the big screen. A sequel has been announced but a release date is yet to be revealed.

20th Century Fox's latest X-Men endeavor, X-Men: Apocalypse is now playing in theaters. The mutant film earned $8.2 million at the box office in its domestic debut on Thursday night.
