A couple busted engaging in sexual intercourse during a screening of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice this year and fighting movie theater employees upon being asked to leave have been charged and prosecuted for their actions.

Anne Abberley, 47, and Leam Thornorough, 36, were arrested on the spot after what witnesses said was Abberley's "bobbing up and down" during the movie and eventually having sex in their seats. The police were called and the couple was detained for 24 hours before being charged the next day.

In Manchester magistrates court, Abberley and Thornborough admitted to outraging public decency by engaging in sexual activity in a public place. Abberley ws conditionally discharged for 12 months and ordered to pay fines of £105.

In mitigation, defense lawyer Margaret McCormack said the couple did "not have anywhere where they could spend time together."

Passing sentence, judge Phillip Kersaw ruled, "[The couple's] actions were disgraceful. This is a public place and its fortunate that there weren't that many people in the cinema and there were no children present." Only six people were present in the theater.
