Marvel Avengers Alliance 2 Reveals All-New Captain America 1901

The new Captain America 1901 is an original character being brought to Marvel: Avengers Alliance 2, and we have the full reveal of the character in this behind-the-scenes video showing the creation of the character throughout the design process. The video details the steampunk-influenced look to the character, especially in his shield.

Captain America 1901 is part of the major 75th anniversary celebration of Captain America across Marvel Games. That includes two brand-new costumes for Cap in Marvel Heroes 2016, and new versions of Captain America in Avengers Alliance 2, Marvel Puzzle Quest, Marvel Future Fight, and more.

"Jeremiah Rogers, known as Captain America 1901, is America's first defender of freedom from an alternate timeline who rode with Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders during the Spanish-American War," says the official description of the new character. "Armed with his iconic, extending shield, and Iso-8 powered armor he has become a symbol of American freedom, capable of safeguarding those who fight by his side."

For abilities, Cap 1901 has a healing mist, a pressure-powered punch, an area-of-attack projectile, and his shield can extend to defend allies.

The new update also launches the Captain America 75th Anniversary Event (to earn the new character), AutoPlay, and PVP Tournament 7 where players can earn Deathlok.
