The next trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will debut on ABC next week. Both Lucasfilm -- the studio responsible for the Star Wars franchise -- and ABC operate under the Disney corporate banner.

The trailer will debut on July 15, according to a blog post at Making Star Wars. The trailer will be included as part of an hour-long TV special about the revival of the Star Wars brand with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, expanding the special from one hour to one hour, three minutes. So make sure your DVR is adjusted accordingly.

The special is airing in concert with Star Wars Celebration, which takes place in London from July 15-17. Some fans hope the title of the next Star Wars "Episode" film will be revealed at Celebration, although even franchise star Mark Hamill recently cautioned fans to keep their eyes on Rogue One, which is coming first.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is the first of Disney/Lucasfilm's new stand-alone films, live-action movies that are set outside of the "Episode" movie structure that largely follows the Skywalker family. The story for Rogue One is born from the crawl at the start of the original Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.

"It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire," the opening crawl read. "During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet."

Rogue One tells the story of those Rebel spies, as seen in the trailer.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards, and stars Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker, and Diego Luna. It hits theaters December 16, 2016.
