In the summer blockbuster Captain America: Civil War, Spiderman asked, "Hey guys, you ever see that really old movie, Empire Strikes Back? Remember when they're on that snowy planet with the walking thingy?"

What Peter Parker didn't know at the time is that IronMan had not only seen the movie but he could make his very own 'walking thingy' without discovering new technology -- and he could do it for quite a lot cheaper than one of his suits, too.

For the low, low price of $226.5 million -- plus an extra $192 thousand per year for a trained crew -- one could, in theory, build an AT-AT from Stars Wars: Empire Strikes Back.

The people at BestCasino.co.uk dug deep and actually managed to discover just how much it'd cost to build a fully functioning AT-AT unit using nothing but currently existing technology that is in use by the military at this very moment.

From the armor plating to the the iconic laser cannon mounted at the AT-AT's mouth exist in real life all exist, and each has a listed price.

As the infographic below shows, the modern-day AT-AT can come equipped with two different types of lasers: LaWS lasers (such as the ones currently in use on the USS Ponce) and ATHENA lasers, for maximum efficiency.

ComicBook.com writer Jamie Lovett said that being able to have an AT-AT would be incredibly cool, but was surprised to learn that it isn't too outrageous to think that someone could, theoretically, build one right now.

"It seems like only a matter of time before a billionaire gets a wild hair, builds an Imperial Army of his own and claims sovereignty," he said. "The technology which seemed like it could only come from a galaxy far, far away is actually available right now. So, I guess, I wouldn't be surprised to see a YouTube video of someone with an AT-AT."
