When you think about 90s sitcoms, what comes to mind? Friends? The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air? Perhaps Boy Meets World? Well, at Comedy Central UK, the folks over there dared to imagine how Britain's most famous boy wizard would fair in an old-school sitcom in a recent video.

Uploaded to their Youtube channel, Comedy Central UK posted a video titled "Harry Potter: The 90s Sitcom." Appropriately titled, the clip mashes together various clips from Harry Potter to create an intro that any 90s sitcom would be proud of. Featuring fan-favorite characters like Harry and Hermione, the footage was pulled primarily from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets.

After watching the clip, many fans left comments complimenting the creative clip. While some question the video's background music, the footage's VHS aesthetic and over-the-top font is on-point for 90s television. And, what's more, the creators even made sure to use original clips which synced with 90s tropes. For instance, when Professor McGonagall appears on screen, she stares at the camera for a couple unwavering seconds. Talk about a fourth-wall breaker.

There's no doubt that a lot of time, attention, and editing went into this viral clip. The work put into this project only goes to show how dedicated Harry Potter fans are and how active its fandom is today. Unsurprisingly, the franchise's fanbase has only grown over this past year as 2016 has been a busy time for Harry Potter.

After all, JK Rowling did publish Harry Potter and the Cursed Child this year once its eponymous play shattered West End records. The publication also came with an announcement that Rowling would be publishing a few more spin-off novellas about the Wizarding World, and the author even posted a few Harry Potter sketches she doodled years ago. And, by the year's end, Harry Potter will return to the big screen when Fantastical Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theaters.

As for whether Harry himself will ever return to theaters, fans aren't sure. Rumors recently began swirling that Warner Bros. wants Daniel Radcliffe to reprise the iconic character for a film adaptation of The Cursed Child, but there's been no official word on the whispers. For now, fans will have to be content with what Harry Potter they have and rally behind fans who are creating stellar fan-works like Comedy Central UK did.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will apparate into theaters on November 18 2016.
