Cynthia Addai-Robinson Would Love To Play A Younger Amanda Waller In DC Films

Cynthia Addai-Robinson can next be seen in her upcoming film The Accountant, alongside Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, and Jon Bernthal, but some will always know her best from her scene-stealing role of Amanda Waller in The CW's Arrow.

DC typically employs different actors for its cinematic universe, and the part of Amanda Waller was recently portrayed beautifully by Viola Davis in Suicide Squad. ComicBook.com's Ashley Robinson recently had a chance to speak to Addai-Robinson about her role as Marybeth Medina in her newest project, but they did briefly speak about the chance of her playing a younger version of the character in a future movie.

"Oh man. You know, look, I am a huge fan of Viola Davis so I would not want to get into the two Amanda Wallers fight, I would give it to her, but again it's been a gift to even sort of play in that world, and I like the idea that you know that I can sort of do both, that I can play a character like that who's really larger than life and iconic, and then sort of get to do something like this where, it just feels a little bit more rooted in reality and a little bit more human and relatable, but all the Arrow fans, I always get a lot of love and I'm forever grateful to be a part of that as well."

Her character in The Accountant can more than hold her own, but if it came down to a fight, Addai-Robinson had to side with her villainous alter ego.

"I think Amanda Waller would probably beat Medina in a dirty street fight, so I'd probably go with her, but I will say you know that Mary Beth is no slouch and I think her skill set is really just, she's got a certain street smarts, but also she's incredibly intelligent and you know it's really satisfying to be asked to you know portray characters that have and intelligence and a strength as well as vulnerability. You know it's like all of those things make for a really sort of compelling character."

The Accountant hits theaters on October 14. Arrow returns on October 5.
