A new photo of Diggle's costume and helmet has been released on Instagram by concept artist Andy Poon.

In Arrow's fourth season, Diggle's costume debuted and received a massive amount of criticism for the look of the helmet. Comparisons were often made to Magneto and anything else fans could throw in to poke fun at the look.

The new photo shows a redesigned take on Diggle's helmet which was originally shown in Hall H at San Diego Comc Con. The helmet has already debuted on Arrow in the show's fifth

"Finally we see Diggle dawn his Spartan outfit again with his new and improved helmet," Poon writes. "This is the concept that was shown in SDCC last year at hall H. It is not the new helmet but it is not his season 4 one either. It was kind of a version 1.5 design. Very happy of how the 2.0 helmet turned out and diggle kicking some serious butt again."

The new costume has seen a much better reception among fans.

Based on the characters from DC, Arrow is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (The Flash, Supergirl), Marc Guggenheim (Eli Stone, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters), Andrew Kreisberg (The Flash, Supergirl), Wendy Mericle (Desperate Housewives, Eli Stone) and Sarah Schechter (Supergirl, Blindspot).

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on the Cw.
